Designed for greater comfort, the minimalist vest increases free movement and range of motion in the casting arm, and better conforms to the shape of the body. Although considered radical by major fly fishing brands at the time it was designed, similar concepts are now in production by almost all, including Orvis, Patagonia, and William Joseph.
