These tools not only perform a specific function, their use is also full of ritual. They are designed to fit comfortably in the hand, and balance like a fine machine tool. The mechanical corkscrew was designed to open bottles effortlessly. A patented cam-action gear multiplies the user’s force, while a Teflon coated, self-rotating screw drives into the cork. A single stroke of the handle removes the cork intact. Developed in conjunction with Function Engineering.
